Under the Watchful Eye of the Church
In the heart of a Russian-occupied town in southeastern Ukraine, a young priest named Andriy tends to the spiritual needs of the community. However, the harsh realities of war have forced him to confront a different kind of evil. The church, once a symbol of hope and refuge, has been transformed into a grim morgue, where the bodies of executed Ukrainian civilians are laid out for all to see. The town’s residents live in constant fear, as the occupation tightens its grip, and the church stands as a haunting reminder of their struggle for survival.
The Weight of Resistance
As the occupation continues to suffocate the town, Andriy begins to secretly return the bodies of the executed civilians to their families, defying the orders of the occupying forces. This act of defiance comes at a great personal cost, as Andriy risks everything to honor the memory of those who have been taken from them. Despite the danger, he presses on, driven by a sense of justice and compassion.
A Bond Formed in Secret
